City Vision Detroit

A few years ago I had the privilege of traveling to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul to meet with local Southern Baptist leaders. During that visit I was first exposed to Dr. John Mayer and the ministry of City Vision (http://www.cityv/VisionTC.org). For 16 years, this strategic ministry has been helping to effectively equip and mobilize the Evangelical Church in the Twin Cities metro area to reach out to "the nations" (ethnics, Matt. 28:19) at their doorstep.
After that initial exposure to City Vision, I have referenced their materials frequently, often dreaming of a day when we could have a similar ministry here in Southeastern Michigan. I have even pursued the idea of developing something similar several times but have not seen a way for it to be accomplished.

Now, in God’s timing and through the diligent efforts of several individuals, we are now seeing the Twin Cities City Vision ministry replicated here in Southeastern Michigan and the Detroit area.

If you are a pastor, deacon, church planter, or you just have a passion for reaching Southeastern Michigan, LET ME ENCOURAGE YOU TO COME HEAR Dr. John Mayer as the keynote speaker for two introductory meetings of CITY VISION DETROIT on Monday, March 21 (7:00-8:30pm), and on Tuesday, March 22 (11:00am-12:30pm). I plan to attend and I hope to see you there also.

Both identical events will be at Woodside Bible Church - Farmington Hills Campus, 28301 Middlebelt Rd (just north of 12 Mile Rd), Farmington Hills, MI. Light refreshments will be served for the Monday event; lunch for Tuesday event, so RSVP is greatly appreciated.
CITY VISION DETROIT has the potential of helping hundreds and hundreds of churches and ministries, and countless individuals, to reach out effectively to the hundreds of thousands of immigrants of every generation here in southeastern Michigan.
